He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Suttles and Clara Belle Smith Suttles; his wife Elsie Suttles; and his siblings, Grover, Fred, Floyd, Lawrence, Walt Suttles, Ruby Suttles, Stella Patrick and Betty Orr.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Barrier (Neil) of Forest City, Jennifer Bumgarner (Andy) of Golden Valley and William Gene Marcotti (Sheila O'Sullivan) of Greenville County, SC; his brother Loyd Suttles (Joyce) of Rock Hill, SC; his grandson Christian Bumgarner; his niece Diane Wayne; and his nephew Artie Orr of Hendersonville.
