He was predeceased by: his father Fred Estes; his daughter Janice Wagoner; and his stepson Donald Malcolm. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Hall Estes; his daughter Cynthia Romeis of Charlotte; his stepsons, Gary Malcolm (Susan) of Ellenboro, Daniel Malcolm of Rutherfordton and Timothy Malcolm (Teresa) of Harris; and his sisters, Nora Womack of Marion and Zora Pippert of Marion. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
