She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmon S. Walker, Sr. and Mattie Mae Trout Walker; her husband William L. "Bill" Smith; her sons, Thomas Lynn Smith and Terry Michael Smith; and her siblings, Ted Walker of Gene Walker, E. S, Walker, Jr., Margaret Moore, Eloise Keeter and Sarah Clayton.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles William Smith (Teresa Hunt Smith) of Forest City, Rickie Gene Smith (Ann Lainer Smith) of Mooresboro and Timmie Lee Smith (Becky Towery Smith) of Forest City; her daughter-in-law Debra Burgess Smith of Forest City; and her grandchildren, Jeff Herman-Smith, Chad Smith, Travis Smith, Brian Smith, Christy Smith, Jessica Smith Winn and Lindsey Smith.
