He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Clifton and Bertha S. Willis; his wives, Gail Frances Watts and Jeanette Lewis King; his daughters, Miranda Gail King and Myra Pauline King; his granddaughter Stephanie Lynn Jarrell; and his children, Dock Walter King, Jr. of Star City, Burwell Ray King of Rutherfordton, James Clifton King of Forest City and Bertha King West of Union Mills.
