He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sue Dobbins Cooper and Charlie Cooper; his son Ryan Cooper of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Reese Cooper and Riley Cooper; and his sisters, Glenda Cooper of Ellenboro and Darlene Hooper of Forest City.
