He is survived by: his wife Patricia Head Gettys; his children, Duane Gettys (LuAnn), Johnnie Rector (Chris) of Rutherfordton, NC and Jerry Gettys (Frankie) of Caroleen, NC; his grandchildren, Dillion Gettys, Chance Rector, Kaitlin Callahan and Ethan Rector; and his great grandchildren, Callie Gettys, Colton Gettys, Corbyn Gettys and Jackson Ward.
