He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Erwin Bright, Sr. and Donia Guffey Bright; his former wife Joyce Jones; his wife Katherine Giles; his daughter Rhonda Oberstaller; his granddaughter Brandi Oberstaller; and his siblings, Leroy, Walter, Venoy Bright, Mavis Bridges, Ruth Haulk and Joan Hodge.
He is survived by: his sons, Barry Bright (Pam) of Forest City, Danny Bright of Forest City, Scott Bright (Tammy) of Huntersville, NC and Henry Bright of Hanahan, SC; his grandchildren, Stephen Bright, Sevin Bright, Sharra Hackett, Eli Bright, Micalah Bright, Hannah Bright and Jeanna Oberstaller; and his great grandchildren, Hayden McBrayer, Maggie McBrayer, Tucker Hackett, Cora Bright, Sabie Bright and Samuel Bright.
