She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bill Mills and Nannie McKinney Mills; her husband Archie; her granddaughters, Heather Lowery and Tori Lowery; and her siblings, Geneviae Sisk, Luther Mills, Nora Nix, Ella Calhoun, Janie Moore and Flossie Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Humphries Tolleson of Cliffside and Billy Ray Humphries (Cyndi) of Cliffside; her sister Louise Hardin of Samford, NC; her grandchildren, Snapper Humphries, Amber Avery and Ronnie "Bubba" Lowery; and her brother-in-law Larry Humphries (Tessie) of Shelby. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1251 US Hwy 221a, Forest City, NC 28043). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (1301 Mt Pleasant Church Rd, Mooresboro, NC 28114).
