He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harris and Bessie Mitchell Harris; his sister Betty Lucille Harris Hicks; and his great grandchild Brehannah Swink. He is survived by: his wife Doris Hooper Harris; his children, Carl Irby Harris (Linda) of Forest City and Yvonne Harris Haulk (Mark) of Forest City; his sisters, Frances Creola Harris Jones (Casey) of Forest City, Helen Irene Harris LaPage (Pop) of Mooresboro, Pansy Jane Harris McCraw (Gary) of Sunshine, Carmal Paulette Harris Smith (Kirk) of Bostic and Deborah Harris Crowe of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Carl Timothy Harris, Sommar Harris Waters (Michael), Brianne Sane Swink (Chad), Brandon Sane and Bryson Sane (Cindal). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
