With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Boyce Wade Abernathy of Forest City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Boyce Wade departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Boyce Wade may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Boyce Wade leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chivous Wade Abernathy and Lucille Harrill Abernathy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floyds Creek Baptist Church (2004 Chase High Rd, Forest City, NC 28043). The lying in state will be held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Harrelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1251 US Hwy 221a, Forest City, NC 28043). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Floyds Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (2004 Chase High Rd, Forest City, NC 28043). A reception will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
