He was predeceased by: his parents, Chivous Philbeck and Bernice Champion Philbeck; his great grandchild Jed Drummond; his son-in-law Russell Stribling; his brother-in-law Donald Spratt; and his nephew Michael Philbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Millwood Philbeck; his daughters, Tammy Philbeck Conner (Larry) of Forest City, Shelley Philbeck Lafone (Scott) of Taylorsville, NC and Kelly Philbeck Stribling of Columbus; and his siblings, David Philbeck (Gretta) of Rutherfordton, Danny Philbeck (Debbie) of Inman and Cynthia Philbeck Spratt of Ellenboro. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and one expectant great-grandchild.
