He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffin Gold and Ellie Campbell Gold; and his siblings, James Gold, Robert Gold, Doug Gold, Dan Gold, Margaret Cummings and Elizabeth Revels.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Gold; his children, Eric Gold (Gina) of Forest City and Angela Bolt (Johnny) of Forest City; his brother Phil Gold (Diana) of Lexington; and his grandchildren, Megan Gold, Milo Gold, Tommy Bolt and Dustin Bolt.
He was active in many civic concerns in both Forest City and Rutherford County, and he was most proud of his work as Corporate Chairman for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life as well as the Board of the Rutherford County TDA.
