It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betti Bumgardner of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Lee Hoyle and Annie Mae Bice Messer; her husband William Lee Bumgardner; and her sisters, Jackie Scism and Imogene Curtis.
She is survived by: her sons, David Bumgardner (Diane) of Forest City and Rob Bumgardner (Alah) of Topsail Island; and her sisters, Diane Hamrick (James) of Kings Mountain and Juanita Fleming (Dean) of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
