It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Rider of Forest City, North Carolina, born in Central Islip, New York, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pasquale Spera and Ruth Johnson Spera; her husband Richard Rider, Sr.; her son Alan Rider; and her sister Barbara Sackmann Harmon.
She is survived by: her son Richard Rider (Diane) of Forest City; her sisters, Grace Schnebly (John) of Delray Beach and Cheryl DeMuth (John); her grandsons, Alan Rider, Jr., Wyatt Rider and Harvey Light; her great grandchildren, Craig Light, Aaron Light, Shanan Light, Megan Jones (Mason), Audrey Dixon, Diana Light and Rainney Light; and her great great grandchild Shanan Light.
