She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Green and Ida Bortz Green; and her siblings, George Green, Mildred Green and Donald Green.
She is survived by: her husband William J. "Bill" Banfield; and her sons, William Paul Banfield (Denise) of Ohio, David Banfield (Suanne) of Michigan and Thomas Banfield (Kathryn) of Forest City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to the Children's and Youth Programs of Second Baptist Church, 191 Green Street Rutherfordton, North Carolina 28139.
