He is survived by : his close friends, Danny King and Benny Hylemon; his friends, Jerry and Alice Higdon; his wife JoAnn Lindsey McMinn; his children, Donna Mueller (Mark), Christina McMinn, Amanda McGuire (Brandon) and Jason McMinn (Christina); his grandson Mark Jones; his siblings, Jane Peek (Junior), Ruth Baker, Patsy Jones, Phyllis Whitaker (Ted), Martha Dietz (Don), Camie Robles (Robert) and Calvin McMinn (Marie); his daughter Mandy; his grandchildren, Emily, Jayme, Cody (Kaylee), Jordyn (Connor), Cassidy, Casey, AbbyJo, Michael, Easton, Jaison (Micah), Cain (Emily), Cecil and Jorgia; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Porter, Phineas, Caleb, Aubree and Turner. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sanctuary Fletcher First Baptist Church (5 Cane Creek Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Cemetery Shepherd Memorial Park (5045 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28791).
