It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Owenby of Fletcher, North Carolina, born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Dimsdale and Annie Dimsdale (McCraw); and her husband David "Harold" Owenby. She is survived by: her son Gary A. Cox (Michelle) of Fletcher, NC; her grandson Christopher L. Cox of Asheville, NC.; and her sisters, Betty Holbert (Sherman) of Hendersonville, Carolyn Baldwin (Harold) of Fletcher and Shirley Henderson of Hendersonville, NC.. She is also survived by son, grandson, family members and many dear friends.
