He is survived by: his daughters, June Harvey of Fletcher and Mary Champlin of Swannanoa; his granddaughters, Jennifer Champion (Shaun) and Becki Guthrie (Jimmy); and his great grandchildren, Logan Nicholas Champion and Wade Arthur Champion.
