He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Gooch Best and Farquhard Smith Best; and his brothers, Richard Lee Best and Page Hinton Best. He is survived by: his wife Alice Victoria "Vicky" Caldwell Best; his sons, Scott Campbell Best and Peter Farquhard Best, Jr. (Jenna Scott Best); and his grandsons, Andrew Coleman Best, Harrison Smith Best and Boyd Hinton Best.
