She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Tobin and Mary Tobin; her husband John Stoia; and her brother Robert Tobin. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Carter (Cameron Carter) of Davis, CA, Wayne Stoia (Debbie) of Arden and Michael Stoia (Nancy) of Sugarland, TX; and her grandchildren, Luke Stoia (Ashleigh), Trevor Stoia (Kelly), Nicholas Stoia (Lauren), Patrick Stoia (Lauren), Alex Stoia, Christopher Carter and Colin Carter. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that contributions be made in Marilyn's memory to Mercy Ministries at Arden Presbyterian Church, 2215 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704 or to ABCCM, 20 Twentieth Street, Asheville, NC 28806.
