He was predeceased by: his father Dan Jackson Bonner; his brother Don Bonner; and his half-brother Ronnie "Bud" Edney. He is survived by: his wife Kay Fairchild Bonner; his siblings, Susan Bonner Mull (Richard) and Joe Bonner of Morganton, NC; his half-brother Thomas Edney (Pamela) of Asheboro, NC; his aunt Fran McGraw of Mountain Home, NC; his cousin Linda McCall Wilson (Bob) of Knoxville, TN; and his niece Jacklyn Bonner Giron of Barcelona, Spain.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
