He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Ayers and Annice Green Ayers; his wife Annabelle Edwards Ayers; his son Edwin Ayers; his grandson Caleb Ayers; and his siblings, Bobby, JC Ayers, Billie Jean Tomlin and Dolores Ledford.
He is survived by: his son Stacy Ayers; his sisters, June Anglin and Peggy Buckner; his daughter-in-law Elinora Ayers; his grandchildren, Josh Ayers, Meghan, Taylor Munie and Madison Ayers; and his great grandchildren, Brodie, Tyson, Easton, Jaxson and Nora.
