He is survived by : his children, Alfonso Darity, Jr., Rodney Darity of Charlotte and Tanisha Upkins of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Zamaria Darity, Jada Upkins of Charlotte, Valerie Darity of Gastonia and Christopher Upkins of Charlotte; and his sister Diane Parrish (Kenneth Rice) of Fletcher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
