With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Pitts of Fleetwood, North Carolina, who passed away on April 29, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father John C. Pitts; his grandparents, Tom, Fannie Townsend and Orpha Pitts; his brother-in-law Steve Welch; his wife Dianna Lynn B. Pitts; his mother Nancy B. Pitts; his children, Jessica Abernathy, Jason and Jared Pitts; his grandsons, Will and Oran Abernathy; and his sisters, Ann Pitts Welch and Cindy Hinshaw (David). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to the Pitts Cemetery care of Ann Welch. 214 Old Clayton Rd in Boone, NC 28607.
