It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Edward Brown (Fleetwood, North Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norman and Zola Gay Francis Brown; his son Edward Laurance Brown; his brother Clarence Ray Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Wert Barker and Kay Thornburg Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Laurance Brown; his daughter Lynnette Lee Brown Higgins (Scott Michael) of Wilmington; his siblings, Clifford Wayne Brown of Denver, Kathleen Mae Barker of Jefferson, Glenna Fae Brown of Sparta and Dorothy Jane Brown of Sparta; his granddaughter Alyth Rose Higgins; and his sisters-in-law, Reba Williams of Colorado and Rebecca West (Don) of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by nine nieces and two nephews.
