He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Marvin Upchurch, Sr. and Mary Susan Spell Upchurch; and his sister Mary Susan Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Betty Daniel Upchurch; his children, Lewis Marvin Upchurch III (Lisa) of Costa Mesa, California, Elizabeth Allen Upchurch of Asheville, NC and Mollie Upchurch Shanly (Matt) of Blowing Rock, NC; his grandchildren, Phoebe, Mimi, Max, Isabelle (Adam), Maddie (Wes) and Harper; and his great grandchild Marvin.
