He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gaither and Dollie Spears Miller; and his siblings, Don Miller, Faye Miller and Ruby Cleary.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Kay Wyatt Miller; his children, John Junior Miller and Mary Kay Miller of Fleetwood; his siblings, James Miller (Marlene) of Millers Creek, Dean Miller (Debbie) of Independence, VA, Billy Miller (Brenda) of Millers Creek, Evazelle Elledge of Millers Creek, Janet Hayes of Millers Creek, JoAnn Hutchinson of Millers Creek, Nancy Church of Millers Creek, Jennie Warren (Bob) of Millers Creek, Bonnie Minton (Terry) of Wilkesboro and Virginia Dare Brown (Gene) of North Wilkesboro; and his father-in-law Billy Junior Wyatt of Fleetwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
