He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Evert Blackburn and Anne Edwards Blackburn; and his brother David Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Martha Bledsoe Blackburn; his daughters, Teresa Childress (Wayne) of Highpoint and Melinda Osborne (Rick Poe) of Warrensville; his grandchildren, Megan Childress of Australia, Samantha Harris (Andy) of Sparta, Evan Childress of Highpoint and Seth Osborne (Hannah) of Todd; his great grandchildren, Drew Harris and Emery Osborne; and his siblings, Mary Jo Gentry (Johnny) of Providence, Joyce Tucker (Bill) of King, Keith Blackburn (Joyce) of Fleetwood and Ben Blackburn (Sylvia) of Hickory.
Due to COVID-19 the family request that mask be worn.
