She was predeceased by: her father Robert Houston. She is survived by: her daughters, Tamara Willey of Madison and Amber Stewart of Madison, Alabama; her brother Dr. D. Travis Spaulding of Altamonte, Florida; her aunt Elizabeth Walker Barnette of Lenoir; and her brother-in-law Basil Hartzog of West Jefferson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
