She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Wood and Eunice Goodman Wood; her husband James Leonard Brown; her son Richard Brown; her granddaughter Vickie Brown Lambert; and her great grandchildren, Collin Brown, Jarrett Brown, Kenan Brown and Kade Brown.
She is survived by: her son Charles Brown (Rosemary) of Fleetwood; her daughter-in-law Chris Brown; her grandsons, Steve Brown (Robin), Chad Brown (Jocelyn), Eric Brown (Melissa) and Ricky Brown; her great grandchildren, Peyton Absher, Hallie Tuttle, Rhett Brown, Hunter Brown, Hayden Brown, Gavin Brown, Garrett Brown, Gunner Brown, Josh Hutchinson and Dylan Hutchinson; and her great great grandchild Courtlynn Rose Absher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel (3470 U. S. Hwy 221 N, Crumpler, NC 28617). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
