He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Eugene and Clydia Mae Adams Stone; and his siblings, Edward Stone, Jim Stone, Rex Stone, Jonah Lee Stone, Sr., Mary Lois Stone, Ruth Billings and Mickie Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Lee Billings Stone; his children, Michael Stone (Rena) of Ferguson, Anthony Stone (Sherri) of Wilkesboro, Greg Stone (Angela) of Boomer and Tonya Stone Cook (Chuck) of Wilkesboro; and his sisters, Betty Jo McNeil and Geraldine Sheek. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
