He was predeceased by: his parents, Emit Travis and Shirley Olee Walker Harris; his son Steven Travis Harris; his granddaughter Jessica Harris; and his sister Carrie West.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Johnston Harris; his children, Jamie Goings (Mike) of Lincolnton, Kristy Vickers (Daniel) of Ferguson, Randy Harris (Brenda) of Traphill and Beau Pennell (Shannon) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Micky Harris, Mandy Harris, Valerie Lovette, Timmy Smith, Emily Mayo, Justin Wilcox, Caleb Vickers, Kristin Vickers, Brittany Batten, Jason Goings, Chelsea Lambert and Gage Pennell; his great grandchildren, Carter Lovette, Carson Lovette, Carlie Lovette, Kayleigh Lovette, Kaleb Lovette, Joey Goings, Sam Goings, Anna Beth Carlton, Evin McMillian, Destin McMillian, Olivia Harris and Sara Harris; and his siblings, Shirley Griffin of Wilkesboro, Irene Minton of Wilkesboro and Lloyd Harris of Wilkesboro.
