We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2021, at the age of 92, Julia Proffit of Ferguson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Midas John and Cora Etta Winkler Church; her husband Rev Van Proffit; and her siblings, Willie Clark, Mae Cottrell, Betty Poovey, John Church, Jr., James Church, Tommy Church and George Church.
She is survived by: her brother Bob Church (Joyce) of Lenoir; her children, Keith Proffit (Patty) of Concord, NC, Ken Proffit (Diana) of Boone, NC and Deborah Teague (Kenny) of Boone, NC; her grandchildren, Tonya Hughes (Andy) of Pilot Mountain, Kevin Proffit of Charlotte, Brandon Teague (Sarah) of Statesville and Kurtis Proffit (Katie) of Apex; her great grandchildren, Charis Hughes, Owen Hughes, Micah Hughes of Pilot Mountain, Levi Teague, Annie Teague of Statesville, Ally Proffit and Carter Proffit of Apex; and her friend Thelma Byrd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
