She is survived by: her husband Charlie Ray Melton; her children, Jason Ray Melton (Jessica) of Gastonia, Sonya Melton-Mason (Robert) of Conover and Bridgette Black (Shawn) of Lenoir; and her grandsons, Jason Melton, II and Kaleb Melton. She is also survived by six sisters and two brothers.
