He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Harrison and Ena Ellis Shomaker; his sister Joyce Marley; and his siblings-in-law, Grady Watson, Lorene Hamby Watson and Shirley Bristol.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Watson Shomaker; his sons, Jerry Timothy Shomaker of Ferguson, Tommy Joe Shomaker of Ferguson and Terry Dale Shomaker of Ferguson; his grandchildren, Tommy Joe Shomaker, Jr., Ena Nerys Shomaker, Dallas Shomaker, Savannah Shomaker, Jasmine Shomaker and Jonah Shomaker of Millers Creek; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan of Millers Creek and Ashley Ayers of Millers Creek; his close friends, Gary and Paulette Smith of Lenoir; and his friends, Melvin West of Ferguson and Pat Marley of Ferguson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
