We bid farewell to Dwyaine Ayers Sr. of Ferguson, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 8, 2024 at the age of 74. Dwyaine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Delton Ayers and Estelle West Ayers; and his brother Steve Ayers. He is survived by: his friend Harrold Nichols; his significant other Wanda Hawkins; his children, Willie Dwyaine Ayers, Jr., Heather Lee Ayers of Wilkesboro and Junior of North Wilkesboro; his sisters, Sue Hamby of Ferguson, Sandra Pennel (Randy) of Boomer and Laverne Myers (Danny) of Ronda; and also Jean.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church (2446 Fishing Creek Arbor Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Dunkirk United Methodist Church Cemetery (366 Mt Zion Rd, Ferguson, NC 28624).
In lieu of flowers, Dwyaine asked that donations be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or, locally, to the Mount Pleasant Elementary School Inclusive Community Park Fund.
