He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Henry and Ruby Nona Greene Hamby; his daughter Patricia Hamby; and his siblings, JC Hamby, Wayne Hamby and Kay Goss.
He is survived by: his wife Blanch White Hamby; his daughters, Sue Anderson (Steve) of Ferguson and Angela Adams (Mark) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Suzette Johnson of Millers Creek, Courtney Adams of Louisiana and Samantha Olmsted of Hickory; his great grandchildren, Calix Johnson of Millers Creek, Regan Johnson of Millers Creek and Elijah Blankenship of Hickory; and his siblings, Mary Lackey of Moravian Falls and Wallace Hamby of Ferguson.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a worthy charity of the donor's choice.
