In loving memory of Rachel L. Ellis of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who departed this world on April 1, 2025 at the age of 92. Rachel leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Rachel is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rachel's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. George H. Ellis, III (Alice Faye) and Ava Devault; and her sister Martha Lennon. She is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary Chapel (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
