She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert E. Lee and Mabel Bliss Hodges Lee; her husband Ernest Harding Wood; and her siblings, Dorothy Dean Lee, Pamela West, Doris Bowen, Annie Sue Godwin, Larry Lee, Sr. and Jerry F. Lee.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Melvin; her son-in-law James Taylor Melvin of Fayetteville; and her sister Geraldine Byrd of Erwin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Covenant Love Church (420 Dunn Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28312). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
