It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melody Faye Thursby (Fayetteville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Jones (Billy) and Berthenia Tyndall Jones (Bert); and her brother William R. (Ronnie). She is survived by: her brothers, Larry Elton Jones (Florence), Jerry Wayne Jones (Lori) and Walter Monroe (Bill); her husband Elmer Hugh Thursby; her children, Francine Thursby Bowers (Stuart) and Kenneth James Thursby; and her grandsons, Stephen Anthony Herring II (Kati), David Wayne McAllister, Jr. (Lauren) and Jason Hugh McAllister (Amber).
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Rogers and Breece Funeral Home (500 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rogers and Breece Chapel (500 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
