It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Meathel Jacobs of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Meathel may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Meathel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Talmage Palmer and Dixie Palmer; her husband Ernest Jacobs; and her daughter Sandra Hackney. She is survived by: her sons, Steve Owens of Fayetteville, NC and Kenneth Jacobs (Angie) of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Jessica Seagroves, Raymond Owens, Andrea Crawford, Kimberly Ndiwe and Mark Yoder; and her sister Vivian Burns (Richard) of Arizona. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory (2226 Lillington Hwy, Spring Lake, NC 28390). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
