She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jacobs and Elizabeth Carter Jacobs; her son Gary Jacobs; and her siblings, James Parnell Jacobs and Florence.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Rivera (Mike) of Fayetteville, Venus Jacobs Brewington (Paul) of Fayetteville and Carmen Jacobs Berber (Leo) of Fayetteville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews and extended family.
