She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Howard and Amma Pecola Edens Howard; and her siblings, Linwood Howard, JC Howard and Eva Guyew.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Gilpin (Michael) and Kimberly "Kim" Wooldridge; her grandsons, Camryn Strickland (Alix) and Quentin Strickland; and her great grandchildren, Andi, Walton and Jett Strickland.
