He is survived by: his father Lawrence Thornton; his son Brent (Alyshia); his grandchildren, Ryleigh and Waylon; his son Travis (Jessica); his grandsons, David and Kaleb; and his siblings, Felisha Sealy (Timothy), Tina Thornton and Bradley (Tehra). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
