It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Smith of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Bigford and Ruth Bigford; her husband Bruce; her brothers, Paul and Charles Bigford; and her son-in-law Wally Savedra.
She is survived by: her son Mike Smith (Val) of Fayetteville; and her grandchildren, Pam Bandurraga (Paul), Marsha Faye Rodgers (Jimmy) of Cary, Paula Savedra of Fayetteville, Brandon Smith (Crystal), Jessica Smith, Josh Horne (Heather), Sarah Hughes (Nick) and Stephanie Rodgers. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at the Northwood Temple (4250 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28311). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Northwood Temple Church (4250 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28311). A committal service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Northwood Temple Church.
