He is survived by: his children, James A. Grimsley Jr. of Hope Mills and Mary Brooks of Fayetteville; his siblings, Joe Grimsley (Junie) of Fayetteville, Peggy Matthews (Danny) of Fayetteville, Nancy Moore of Fayetteville and Joanne Murray (Marvin) of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Robert Grimsley, Elizabeth Grimsley, James Grimsley, Jamie Van Rassen, Michael Brooks and Jerry Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Kyleigh James, Ryan Van Rassen, Aiden Van Rassen, Ethan Thompson, Bella Grimsley, Kayden Brooks, Riley Brooks, Arianna Brooks, Bentley Brooks, Teagan Brooks, Lydia Brooks, Maeve Brooks and Gideon Brooks. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
