He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie B. Knowles and Mattie Williams Knowles; and his brothers, OBreyton and William "Bill". He is survived by: his wife Delores Duke Knowles; his sons, Jack Wesley Knowles (Thomas Harrison) of Charlotte, NC and Jack Christopher Knowles of Huntersville, NC; his grandchildren, Julia and Jude Knowles; and his sister Octavia Lewis of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
