She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Thomas Brooks of Riegelwood, NC, Michael Brooks (Julie) of Hope Mills and Michelle B. Manavi (Cyrus) of Wilson, NC; her brother Reinhard Buchholz (Ingrid) of Germany; and her grandchildren, Morgan Brooks, Owen Brooks, Sarah, Isaac and Sophia Manavi.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA.
