George Norman Russ Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Norman Russ (Fayetteville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Russ and Alonza Russ; and his former wife Susan Whitley Russ. He is survived by: his wife Janice Burkarth Russ; his daughters, Gina Russ and Debra Jacobs; his stepsons, Steven Burkarth and Cory Burkarth; and his siblings, Shirley Tew, Joyce Sanderson, Rudy Russ (Sherrie), Elaine White, Anita Gillis (Tom), Bonnie Clark and Rose Russ. He is also survived by many other family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Norm's honor to the North Carolina chapter of the American Cancer Society.
