He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dodd and Mary Cecilia Carpenter; his nephew Eric Hall; his brother Joe; and his granddaughter Eliana.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cecilia (Frank) and Catherine (Josh); his grandchildren, Delaina, Olive K, Theodore and Everett; and his siblings, Mary Jane Shrader of Virginia, Jimmy Carpenter of Fayetteville and Nora Stevens of Salemburg.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home (545 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
The family welcomes donations to Falcon Children's Home (falconchildrenshome.org) as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
